I draw with the hope of bringing people peace.
May it serve as solace on tough days,
and moments of respite in busy ones.
And may it, in the end,
be remembered as a new scene in the tapestry of life.
I recall reading in a book once,
about why an author listens to the same song repeatedly.
The author hopes that when they face
the final moments of life,
that song will fill their ears with comfort.
I wish for my landscapes,
the drawings you see,
to unfold before your eyes
in those moments they find you.
In the movie “What Dreams May Come,”
the protagonist finds his wife in a heaven
that is none other than within her paintings.
Perhaps, when she painted that scene,
she was recalling her happiest moment,
believing it to be heaven.
